Palestine, the path to justice

The courageous initiative of the Egyptian president to organize on the October 21st for the first time a summit of this magnitude made it possible to draw two conclusions.


Palestinians - and Arabs - know now more than ever that the final decision on any solution rests with the United States. This means that if the Palestinians, under the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization - manage to create a united Arab front with the support of China and the potentially favorable position of the Europeans, they can influence the United-States, so that there is a real solution. It must be remembered that in recent days, the Arab countries directly concerned - Egypt, Jordan, Palestinians - have demonstrated confidence and autonomy by inflicting a scathing snub on the American president by unanimously refusing to meet him when he specially came to the region for this purpose.


On the other hand, it is clear that the western front is less united than it appears. The affirmation of unconditional support of the United States for Israel, forcefully repeated on several occasions, reflects a state of impatience and only means that the United States realizes that Israel is a burden to them and that it is time to find a better option.


Finally, we must remember that the Palestinian fight for their independence enjoys increasingly broad support, as we have seen through the huge demonstrations all over the world and in the West in particular, where we have heard protesters compare Israel to a colonial and apartheid state.


Justice will prevail.

Negotiations: Beyond Words

  After the first day of negotiations, Iran stated that some areas of convergence had been reached, but significant disagreements remain. Tehran called for continuing the diplomatic path despite the absence of an agreement. U.S. officials indicated that the discussions ended without a deal. Justice on the Side of the Palestinian People

July 19, 2024, marks a monumental victory for justice, which has clearly sided with the rights of the Palestinian people. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an opinion declaring that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal. The court demanded that all states take action to end this occupation and that Israel pay reparations to Palestinians who have suffered due to this situation. It is important to note that this opinion follows a recent decision by the Court requiring Israel to cease any actions in Gaza that could constitute genocide. This ICJ opinion will strengthen international pressure on Israel. Although it will take time, just like the end of apartheid in South Africa, there is no doubt that justice will prevail and that Palestinians will regain their right to self-determination.
