Has the Chinese president become a Muslim?

This is what I wondered when I reflected on the resumption of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran after years of conflict. These are two Muslim countries. It was the Chinese president who took the initiative - with the help of Oman and Iraq - to reconcile these countries. And this president, he is not a Muslim.


Then I remembered this verse from the Quran which says: "And if two groups of believers fight each other, reconcile them." * And then I thought: if the Chinese president applied this verse of the Quran although he is not a Muslim, it means that he may have converted to Islam? I listened to the radio, watched TV and "social" media and found nothing.


Anyway, that got me a lot to think about.

Justice on the Side of the Palestinian People

July 19, 2024, marks a monumental victory for justice, which has clearly sided with the rights of the Palestinian people. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an opinion declaring that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal. The court demanded that all states take action to end this occupation and that Israel pay reparations to Palestinians who have suffered due to this situation. It is important to note that this opinion follows a recent decision by the Court requiring Israel to cease any actions in Gaza that could constitute genocide. This ICJ opinion will strengthen international pressure on Israel. Although it will take time, just like the end of apartheid in South Africa, there is no doubt that justice will prevail and that Palestinians will regain their right to self-determination.
